Mrs. Virginia Priddy Hall, 95, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

Jenny was born in Stokes County to Nathaniel O. and Nellie Mabe Priddy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jerry A. Hall; sisters, Gertie Allen and Nancy Simmons; and her brother, Curtis Priddy.

She graduated from Lawsonville High School and was employed by Western Electric Company before her marriage in 1959. During that time she was also active in both the local and national YWCA, serving as southeastern regional chair.

After residing in Nashville and Raleigh, the couple returned to Winston-Salem when Dr. Hall joined the faculty of Wake Forest University in 1968. She was a member of Wake Forest Baptist Church for many years and worked in both the Comptroller's Office and Human Resources at Wake Forest University until her retirement.

Jenny was a resident of Salemtowne Retirement Community for ten years.

Surviving are her son, James Hall, his wife, Sarah, and their son Joseph; her sisters, Linda Higgins of King and Pamela Floyd of Winston-Salem; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Her life was enriched by many wonderful friendships.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Community Center Saal at Salemtowne.

Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.

The Hall family wishes to thank the staff and nurses of Salemtowne, who provided Jenny much care. In lieu of flowers they ask that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
