Professional Basketball Player. For twelve-seasons (1963 to 1975), he played at the small-forward position in the National Basketball Association with the Baltimore Bullets, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, San Diego Rockets, Seattle SuperSonics and Kansas City/Omaha Royals. He made his first impression on the basketball court during his years at Notre Dame High School in Wisconsin. He enrolled at Marquette where he became one of the Golden Eagles all time greats as he achieved All-Americam honors twice. To date, he is the school's leader in rebounds with 1,222 boards. Selected by the Chicago Packers during the 2nd round of the 1961 NBA Draft, he totaled 814 career regular season games and compiled 9,948 total points. Kojis had the distinction as being a member of the Chicago Bulls during their inaugural season in the league (1966-1967). Individually, he earned all star status twice (1968 and 1969). His uniform number 44 was retired by Marquette University.
