Dolores "Lolita" Sandoval, age 78. passed away peacefully on November 18th at 2:22 pm in Georgetown, Texas.

She was born in El Paso, Texas, June 20th, 1943.

Her three daughters were blessed to be by her side during her passing.

She was and will forever be a loving mother to Lucia Gadney (Wiebke), Yvonne Sandoval-Isaacs (Michael) , and Michelle Sandoval (Chris).

She was a strong woman who taught her daughters to be strong and independent but to temper it with compassion and empathy.

A kind and gentle woman who had a wonderful sense of humor. Her favorite and only daughter-in-law Wiebke Boeing loved to call her "crazy lady" due to her infectious laugh. Her son-in-law Chris Ramos in keeping with our mom's sense of humor was quick to say, "Watch the walls!" as our mom maneuvered her walker through the hallways of the house. She would quickly respond "Estas loco" as she laughed and bumped into the walls.

She treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kayla Sandoval, Saul Jr. Barron, Tori Gadney, Alize Ramos, Elijah Sandoval, and Josie Calderon. She was an amazing and giving grandmother "Nana" who loved deeply and laughed heartedly.

One of the ways she showed her love was through her incredible cooking. Our family and friends grew up being well fed and loved by this amazing woman. We all remember our mother's amazing breakfast dishes and feeling stuffed and then mom would ask "What do you want for lunch?" as we were taking our last few bites from our breakfast meal.

Dolores was the beloved daughter to Aurora Burciaga and Jose Nevarez. Lolita was dearly loved and treasured by her siblings Grace Morales and Jose "Tuni" Nevarez who met her in heaven, still with us are siblings Olga Jacquez, Roberto "Bobby" Nevarez and Carmen. She is also loved by her sister in spirit Elisabeth "Lis" Schafer and sisters-in-law Toni Nevarez and Telli Nevarez.

She also leaves behind many friends that adored her, she had friendships that lasted over 60 years. Lolita (grandma) was a mother to us and a mother figure to so many. From our cousins, our friends, and even neighbors' children who would go to my mother's home for kind words and delicious meals. She had a strong work ethic and began working as a young girl and contributed to her family in many ways. As children we remember her walking home from work in her white uniform often bringing us goodies like sweet bread or strawberry shortcake. She enjoyed playing 'Loteria' and though not known for her competitiveness, it was often sparked when she had an opportunity to win quarters from her family and friends. Our beloved and adored mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend will be greatly missed.
