God's Chosen Vessel by Pastor J.A. Griffin

It came to pass in the year of 1954 in the council of the Godhead, the Lord said: "Let Us make another human vessel that will bless man and give glory to God." so the Lord made yet another female and she was called Carol.

The Lord looked and said, "It is Good." Then the Lord said, "How shall I fashion her to make her a special vessel unto me." And He spoke to the four winds, "Come thou O winds and let thy breath and energy pass through her and leave a double portion of thy residue so that this vessel will be filled with energy and love for life." "Let this energy and life drive her spirit to excel in all things."

Then the Lord said, "Come O sun and shine thy light into the mind and intellect of this vessel bringing enlightenment and discernment to see all the beauty that the Lord has hidden in both nature and experiences." O sun shine through the eyes of this vessel and make them sparkle with life and good will."

And the Lord said, "What more shall I do in fashioning this vessel." "Let there be a measure of mischief mingled into her thoughts and deeds." "Let this mischief be manifested in witty sayings, a spirited disposition, and little pranks that endear her to family and friends and cause children to love and follow her, always excited about what she will do or say next."

Then the Lord touched her heart and gave her great fortitude and an intense love for righteousness and truth. And the Lord said: "Let her love people as I have loved them."

And the Lord let his hand pass over her face, and lo a beautiful smile appeared. The Lord said, "Let this smile be the dominating feature of her countenance all the days of her life."

And the Lord looked again and saw it was very good and said "Behold my special vessel of honor which I have made."

Then the Lord turned and in a moment of time saw all of the enemies of man in the universe and declared a decree:

"What shall separate my chosen vessel from the love of God? What shall ever be able to dim her spirit or erase her smile? Shall tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or sword? Nay, in all these things she shall be more than a conqueror. For death, life, angels, principalities, cancer, things present, things to come... Nothing in the universe shall prevail against her! She shall run life's race with patience and finish the race with great joy."
