On September 10, 2015 he married the former Teresa Montgomery and they had been together since May 2009 and she survives in Sidney. Michael is also survived by 10 children; Jeremie, Steven and Angelia Gregg all of Cincinnati, Arena (Matt) Garland of Springfield, Nickie and Julie Eaton of Urbana, James Castle-Gregg, Kelsey Castle, Ashley and Alexis King all of Sidney, 7 grandchildren; Elijah and Weslee Garland, Quen Smith and Ross Gregg, Xander, Sebastian and Sawyer Eaton, 3 siblings; James (Ruth) Gregg ofMichigan, Judy (James) Allhouse of Indiana and Terry Gregg of Urbana, and father and mother-in-law, Ken and Jane Madden of Sidney.
Mr. Gregg was a graduate of Shawnee High School where he excelled at track and basketball. He received an Associates of Business degree from Edison Community College and was certified in CNC. Michael proudly served his country in the Army as a sergeant and DI. He was a Vietnam Veteran where he was shot, earning a purple heart. He also received many Army commendation medals. He played basketball for Army in the European League. Michael was a member of the American Legion and attended Sidney First UMC.
Michael was a loving and supportive husband, father and step-father. He was kind and cared deeply for his family and friends. He loved to entertain with his many hilarious adventures even if he had already told the story 50 bazillion times. He was very proud to serve his country in the Army during and after the Vietnam War. Beloved and cherished by many, he will be deeply missed and always loved. Never forgotten and always remembered.
