Patrick Michael Collins was born on September 11, 1960, the son of Mike and Rosie Collins. Pat grew up in the Le Grand, Garwin area and graduated from Garwin High School, Class of 1979.
Pat worked at Tama Pack for two years, and then moved to Minneapolis to work and then to Denver, Colorado, to work while he pursued his love of music. Pat played in various bands, which lead to the recording of two CD's.
Pat's ill health forced him to move back to Marshalltown to be near his family who could care for him. Along with his music, Pat had a love of turtles. Pat also was a jokester with a sense of humor. He enjoyed coming up with nicknames for his nieces and nephews, as well as his siblings. Pat liked to go fishing, too.
Survivors include his sisters Penny Braye, Jackie Lura of Marshalltown, and Cindy (Keith McCarville) of San Diego, California; and his brother Joe (Stephanie) Collins; nieces and nephews; and his pet turtle, Tawny.
Pat joins in Heaven, his parents, Mike and Rosie; his brother-in-law Randy Braye; his grandparents; also his pet turtles, Tilley and Tara.
