Stephen "Steve" Willis Collins, age 72 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born on May 24, 1949, in Sewanee to the late Phillip Wayne and Betty Jane (Street) Collins. Steve started his career in banking in 1972 when he was employed at the Bank of Cowan for fourteen years, starting as a teller and eventually becoming Vice-President and Director. In 1986, he became President and CEO of First National Bank in Manchester. In 1992, he returned to Franklin County as a co-founder of Citizens Community Bank. He remained at Citizens Community Bank as Executive Vice-President and a board member until his retirement on December 31, 2011. During his work tenure, Steve was a member of Rotary Club and had served as President of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. A friend to everyone, Steve was always a helper to those in need and loyal and protective of his friends and family. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, and playing golf, and had been a champion bowler in his younger years. He also enjoyed watching movies and listening to classic country, rock, and bluegrass music. But most of all, Steve cherished the time spent with this beloved family, especially cook-outs with family and friends. He was a member of Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Steve is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Jania Collins of Winchester; children, Jeff (Melissa) Collins of Winchester, and Cole (Abby) Frazier of Ooltewah; grandchildren, Jake Collins, and Avery and Carson Frazier; sister, Connie (John) Pirani of Gadsden, Alabama; and nephews, J.P. Pirani, and Joseph Pirani. Visitation will be from 10am-2pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Michael Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Garner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)-967-2222
