Mrs. Floyd Ferris, 47, 626 Magnet St., died Monday at 3:20 p.m. in a hospital here after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Home of Funerals by the Rev. William Lemke, Christian and Missionary Alliance pastor, and the Rev. Basil Anderson, Columbus.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Ferris, the former Ruth Christopherison, was born July 1, 1904, at Allen, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ole Christopherison, and died the day before her 48th birthday anniversary. She grew to womanhood there and in 1929 came to Norfolk.
She was married to Mr. Ferris, July 7, 1929. They spent all their married life in Norfolk, and until recently Mr. and Mrs. Ferris owned and operated the Ferris Motel, which they built.
She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Lyle Uttecht, Norfolk, two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Bagley, Allen, and Mrs. Ethel Finnemore, Scottsbluff.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
