RICHARD HARTMAN Richard (Dick) Hartman, born on June 20, 1944, passed away peacefully at age 77 at home on November 16, 2021 with his wife Connie and close friends by his side after a valiant four year battle with cancer. Dick lived in Chico his entire life and graduated from Chico High School in 1962. Upon graduation, Dick enlisted in the US Navy and served on the USS Hornet during the Vietnam War. He served in the Navy and Army reserve for a combined 20 years. Dick is survived by his wife of 53 years, Connie, his son Richard Eric (Jaclyn), granddaughter Alex (Heather), grandson Eric, step-grandson Kaden, sister Beverly (Bob), nieces (Dawn, Jenifer and Kenidee) and nephews (Shawn and Kevin). Dick was employed by Byron Jackson Pump/ Flowserve for most of his career. He also worked his 5 acres of walnuts. He enjoyed bowling and golf.
