Larry Eugene Basinger July 15, 1951 – November 18, 2021
Larry Eugene Basinger went to be with our Lord on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Hackett, Arkansas. He was born on July 15, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He retired from Whirlpool after 38 years. After retirement, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and working on his farm. He was an active member of Amity Missionary Baptist Church in Hackett. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. We were blessed to have him in our lives.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Alberta Basinger, mother-in-law, Sybil Upchurch and siblings, Billy Ross Basinger, Linda Kay Smith and Lynn Basinger.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda of 40 years; one son, Branson Reese and wife, Jennifer; two daughters, Kathy Bourne and husband, Stacy and Christi Roberts and husband, Jason; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Jerry and Paul Basinger and one sister, Deanna Smith.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Barrow, Joshua Bramlett, Roger Clark, Terry Duboise, Randy Duboise and Randy Lovell. Honorary pallbearer will be Bruce Clark and Dale Johnson.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 23 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Old Union Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday from 1 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 - 7 p.m.
