Lovezilla was the daughter of Rachel Young & Solomon Gladden. She was married to Dr. Alexander Patterson Mar. 3, 1857 in Richland county, Ohio, they had no children.
When the Civil War was thrust upon the country, Mrs. Patterson, along with her husband, became identified with the Union troops, she as a nurse and he as an Army surgeon. At the close of the war, Dr. & Mrs. Patterson returned to Mansfield to make their home for many years and became leading citizens. She was a member of the First Congregational Church.
