Professional Football Player. He played the running back position for both the National Football League's Los Angeles Raiders and Seattle Seahawks from 1987 to 1995. He played football collegiately at Penn State University and was a team captain of their 1986 national championship winning team. In the 1987 National Football League draft, he was selected in the third round by the Los Angeles Raiders and went on to play for them for the next seven seasons. While with the Raiders, he blocked for the team's star running backs Bo Jackson and Marcus Allen. In 1994, he joined the Seattle Seahawks and played the next two seasons for them before a back injury ended his career in 1995. During his career, he ran for 1,627 yards and scored nine TDs. He later battled Lou Gehrig's disease, which eventually took his life.
