Monika Johnson Monika Peters Johnson of Seattle passed away February 1, 2011 at Snoqualmie Pass. She was 40. Monika was born March 25, 1970 in Laramie, Wyoming to Karl and Karen Peters. She was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she attended local schools. Following high school she furthered her education at St. Olaf College where she graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude. She went on to earn a B.S. in Physical Therapy from the Univ. of Minnesota. In 1997 she moved to Seattle where she worked as a Physical Therapist at the Virginia Mason Medical Center. In her leisure time she enjoyed back country and cross country skiing, hiking, and camping; water sports and climbing. She is remembered as a wonderful loving daughter, sister and friend who possessed a deep enthusiasm for outdoor activities and helping others. Passionate, smart, humble, empathetic and gifted, Monika set the bar high for others to follow. She is deeply loved and missed. Survivors include her parents, Karl and Karen Peters of Minneapolis, her brother, Erik Peters of Mercer Island and two aunts, Virginia Johnson in Arizona and Ulla Peters-Kinen in Germany.
