William Tripp was born in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. He settled in Ohio near Steubenville in 1824. He was killed in an accident in 1836. A yoke of Oxen, which he was driving, ran away and he was thrown under the wheels, causing injuries that proved fatal. William was married twice. His first wife was Catherine Holbert and with her he had three children, Albert, Lovina & William Henry Augustus. I have not been able to find the name of his 2nd wife. They had three children also. They were Jacob, Isaac & Catherine.
