He retired from Publishers Printing in Shepherdsville, Kentucky and was a member of the Secular Order Discalced Carmelites and a member of the St. Martins Catholic Church.
Mr. Tate is preceded in death by his father, Charles Wilmer Tate; and nephew, Derek Michael Tate.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Rosie Jane Tate; sister, Debbie Cripps; brother, Michael Tate (Regina); nieces, Sarah Vallentine (Stuart) and Megan O'Daniel (Greg); 1 great niece and 1 great nephew.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at St. Martins Catholic Church with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.)
