Anne Dunn Williams, 104, of Shelby, passed away November 19, 2021.

Born August 7, 1917 in Mt. Holly, NC, she was the daughter of John Samuel and Sara Ada (Todd) Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jesse Montgomery Williams; an infant daughter, Teresa Jean Williams; grandson, Douglas Todd Saunders; three sisters, Willie D. Springs, Verna D. Davis and Mildred D. Hilton. A graduate of Mt. Holly High School and Carolina Business College, Anne was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church and a charter member of Steele Creek Baptist Church, both in Charlotte, NC. She was devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a very special aunt to many nieces and nephews, but she was truly a child of God. She saw the good in people and loved from deep within her heart. She was also a mentor to all of us, teaching the love of God and the true meaning of family. Her personal relationship with God was evident through her kindness and caring for others. She was a woman of unconditional Christian love and strength and was respected by all who knew her. Our mother will be truly missed and because of her exemplary life style, a part of her will live on through us. We will find guidance through the values she instilled in us.

Her love remains with her children; a son, J. Monty Williams and wife, Wanda; daughter, Sara W. Saunders and husband, Ron; three grandchildren, Jason Williams (Susanne), Wes Williams (Sarah), Kim S. Lee (Dan); four great-granddaughters, Samantha and Emily Williams, Jessica L. Zimmerman and Chelsea K. Lee; a great-grandson, Niko Williams; sister-in-law, Harriette Marley (Bill) and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Anne will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
