Mary was the daughter of William Franklin and Dorothy Ann Morrow. She was educated in the Hardeman County School System and attended Bolivar Central High School in Bolivar, Tennessee. She enjoyed listening to music, cleaning up and was a friendly, outgoing person who spoke her mind. She was a member of the Campbell Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivar, Tennessee.
