Della Brown
November 18, 1942 - November 3, 2021
Yuba City, California - Della Patricia Brown, 78, passed away at Rideout Hospital in Marysville CA, on November 3, 2021. Della was born on November 18, 1942, in Sacramento, CA, to James Brown and Teresa Stassi. She worked as a project manager for the UC Davis system, for nearly 40 years before retiring.
Della was the most loving and caring Mother, "Nana", Sister-in-Law, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, and Friend. Nothing gave Della more joy than her family. She tried hard to live her life through simple pleasures, chatting, going out to dinner, watching Hallmark movies, decorating her home, and spending time with her family. Family get togethers had been a normal occurrence, ever since she was a child. As the backbone of the family, she carried the tradition of hosting family dinners, birthday celebrations, and Christmas Eve dinner. Della felt her purpose on Earth was to give and she did just that. She donated to numerous charities and continuously helped her family. She is survived by her two daughters: Shanie (Bill); Melanie (Joe), & preceded in death by her son, James; as well as eleven grandchildren: Rachael, Michael (Sharon), Kayla (Josh), Heather (Jeff), Donald (Leah), Clarissa, Shelby (Rich), Nicholas, Alexander (Andrew), Merlin, & Kaz; & five great grandchildren: Kaylin, Riley, Laken, Grayson, and Roman.
At Della's request, a small and intimate graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, where she will be buried alongside her Mother.
