Born in Norristown, he was the son of William J. "Bill" Peters, husband of Cameron F. (Pompizzi) Peters, Phoenixville; and the late Sylvia A. (Douglas) Peters. Michael was a 1990 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. He was an EMT and worked armed security. He was also a police dispatcher. Michael loved model trains, crime shows, cooking, photography. He especially loved his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife and father is a daughter: Samantha J. DeLong, wife of Jaime Villard Nevarez, Mohrsville; and two grandchildren: Liam DeLong and Amyrha Villard-DeLong. Michael is also survived by his brother: John P. Peters, Norristown; sister: Melissa A. (Peters), wife of Ken Yetter, Gilbertsville; one niece; three nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law: David J. and Candy L. (Schappell) Krumanocker, The Villages, Florida; and mother-in-law: Carol A. (Greth) Smith widow of Lenny Smith, Shoemakersville.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
