Cleve Harold Keen, 78 years of age of Oakwood, VA passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his home. Born March 27, 1943 in Oakwood, VA he was the son of the late Roy Edward Keen and Susanna Keen Keen.

Cleve was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Keen Mt Pentecostal Church and he was a retired coal miner truck driver. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid Nascar fan but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Doug Potter; one grandson, Joshua Keen; three brothers, Amos, Raymond, and Andy Keen; and two sisters, Carrie Vandyke and Edith Keen.

Those left to cherish his memories includes his loving wife of 36 years, Sadie Marie Keen of Oakwood, VA; two daughters, Dawn (Danny) Shortridge of Grundy, VA and Vickie (Bob) Alarie of Bristol, TN; two sons, Tim (Nancy) Keen of Honaker, VA and Eddie (Tammy) Keen of Oakwood, VA; one brother, Arnold (Sylvia) Keen of Oakwood, VA; and two sisters, Lola Mae White of Delbarton, WV and Inez Vandyke of Bristol, VA.

He is also survived by five grandchildren Kayla Reynolds, Drew and Becky Potter, Victoria and Cliff Robbins, Danny "DanDan" Shortridge Jr and Chance Keen; five great-grandchildren, Kole Reynolds, Scarlett Dotson, Liam Robbins, William Potter, Benjamin Potter; one daughter-in-law, Lynne Binkele; one step-grandson, Jacob Coleman; Kevin Dotson who he loved as a grandson; special nieces Vickie Cline, Mary White; caregivers, Hannah Matney, Emily Stacy, Tiffany Griffey and Nadele Bertus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Cleve Harold Keen will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain Pastor Bill Clifton officiating. Burial will take place on a later date in Esaw Rife Cemetery in Keen Mountain, VA

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the funeral service at 7:00 p.m.
In observance of COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be observed, and the wearing of masks is required for attendance. The funeral service will be streamed live on our Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Homes Facebook page.
