Betty Eileen Ward was born on May 23, 1950, to both the late Marvin and Mary Helton. Betty was born and reared in Dallas, TX and relocated to Spartanburg, SC in 2004. She was retired from Walmart and some of her favorite pass times included fishing, doing puzzles, and shopping. Betty loved ghost stories, the color turquoise, and animals, however she was especially partial to sloths and chickens.

Left to cherish her fond memories are her granddaughter, Courtney Giles, of the home; one daughter, Kellie Fulton of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Judy Helton of Dallas, TX and Mary Catherine Maxiwell of TX; one other granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Giles; two great granddaughters, Sophia Pacheco and Lola Cerse; and a host of other family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her only son, Larry Fulton Jr., and two sisters, Connie Helton and Susan Follis.

On November 17, 2021, Betty accepted the invitation to feast forevermore with her Savior Jesus Christ, and like a turquoise stone buried in the earth her memory is buried in the hearts of those who loved her.
