Darrell married Martha Schmidt in August of 1962 in Minneapolis, MN. They celebrated 55 years of marriage before her passing in May of 2018. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Romaine Miller; and twin sister, Dorothy Miller.
Darrell is survived by his son, Eric (Blanca) Miller of Dunlap, IL; two grandsons, Grant Miller and Gavin Miller of Dunlap, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Darrell was raised in Kellogg, MN., and attended Kellogg Elementary and High School. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post 251.
Darrell graduated from Minnesota School of Business. He worked for the railroad after high school and then was an accountant for Flour City Paper Box Company and Nextel.
For 19 years Darrell was a volunteer for AARP and assisted low income and the elderly with tax preparation.
Darrell was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Plymouth, MN. He enjoyed reading, fishing, golfing, watching sports, traveling and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be at the Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapels, 15800 37th Ave. N, Plymouth, MN 55446. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and inurnment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church.
