Ellen has been a bit elusive. She appears to have had a daughter with Henry Clayton Hall in 1936 and that daughter was subsequently raised by her parent. She later appears in her parent's obituaries as Ellen Compton, but I cannot find marriage/divorce/death records. This gravestone suggests that her husband may have been James Compton.
