Wesley Barry Barnett, 67, of Signal Mountain, passed away on November 16, 2021 at a local hospital.
He was a native of Signal Mountain, a place he loved more than anywhere else. He worked numerous years in Memphis, Tennessee before retiring in 2017 for health reasons. His greatest joy was gardening, his chickens and riding around in his tractor, well, until his grand babies were born and then they were his world!
He is survived by his wife Gail of 46 years; his daughters, Genna Barnett, Gayla (Jeremy) Wallace and grandchildren Liam and Abigayle Wallace. All of Signal Mountain. Siblings Doug (Linda) Barnett of Signal Mountain, Stanley (Brenda) Barnett of Cleveland and Teresa Taylor of Ringgold. Numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Oval Hartman, father Charlie Barnett and brother James Barnett.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Sawyer Cemetery on Signal Mountain.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hixson.
