Mary L. Geyer, 49, Minot, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 in a Minot hospital.

Mary Leah Tuchscherer was born on February 3, 1972, a daughter of Daniel and Joan (Widdel) Tuchscherer in Minot, ND. She was raised on the family farm in the South Prairie area, where she attended South Prairie through the 8th Grade. She then attended Bishop Ryan High School, graduating in 1990. Mary furthered her education by attending North Dakota State University, where she earned a Vet Tech degree.

On October 3, 1997, Mary was united in marriage to Craig Geyer at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she worked as a Vet Tech and at the Trinity Radiology Department. In 2004, she and Craig went into business starting Busy Times Construction and Lawn Care. Together they worked side by side and made many lifelong friendships with their customers. The people they have served through their business are like family, and Mary would drop everything to talk with them, learn about what was happening in their lives, and support and help in any way she could.

Mary was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, where she served on the Parish Council, volunteered as a greeter, reader and usher during Mass, and helped with several other groups and ministries. Mary was a long-time Faith Formation teacher who shared her deep faith with children of all ages. She had served as a youth group leader and Living Stations of the Cross volunteer. She recently completed training in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and was currently teaching young children through the parish Faith Formation program. Always one to say "yes" to the Lord, Mary also filled in for other volunteer teachers as needed.

Passionate about the dignity of all human life, Mary was involved with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Minot, was president of Minot Right to Life, and was recently elected chairperson of North Dakota Right to Life. She was a supporter of the work of Dakota Hope Clinic, Minot, and helped to coordinate the Right to Life float for the North Dakota State Fair Parade.

Mary shared her faith with her family through the years, encouraging and supporting them in their parish involvement, leading them in praying the Rosary and other prayers, and teaching by her example how to live your faith in the world. She had a gentle way of sharing the truth and spoke often of teachings she learned through Real Presence Radio and other faith-focused ministries and organizations.

Mary had a marvelous way of creating community among friends and acquaintances. She listened to, and felt deeply, the struggles that others shared with her. When Mary said she would pray for you, she did so, faithfully and fervently. Her soul was ready and eager to meet the Lord in heaven, but her loss is deeply felt by those who wait to be reunited with her.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, and a brother Jimmy.
