Betty Sue Curington, age 82 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at her residence.

She was born September 14, 1939 in Columbus, GA. She graduated from Nursing school in Chicago, IL. She practiced at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Santa Rosa Hospital in Milton, FL., the Biloxi VA in Biloxi, MS, and Dr. Middleton's office in Biloxi, MS, where she retired from. She spent her time as a caregiver to so many patients, family, and friends. She enjoyed taking care of everyone else, bird watching, planting seeds and plants in the Lord's Garden, spending time with her family, and gardening.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Whitaker and Beaulah Mae Whitaker; her husband, Nathan Curington; one brother; and two sisters.

She is survived by her eight children; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 all at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Ave., Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Burial will follow at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
