Mrs. Sandra Deal Schmitt age 62 of Raleigh passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 after a long illess. Sandra was born in Concord, NC on October 18, 1959 to Charles Hayden Deal and Mary Elizabeth Downum.
Mrs. Schmitt was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Wake Forest, and loved to go bowling, serving others through love and kindness. She enjoyed volunteering to hold babies at Wake Med NICU and in her free time loved taking trips to the mountains.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William Francis Schmitt.
Those left to carry on her memory are her children Elizabeth Anne Futrell and husband William of Lumber Bridge, NC; Steven William Schmitt and wife Kristi of Raleigh, NC; sisters Suzette Kluttzz and her husband James of Rockwell, NC; Lillian Oxendine of Willmington, NC; step father Reid Moore of Concord, NC; grandchildren Jackie Futrell, Harlyn and Hudson Ferrell; several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 22 at 5pm followed by a Celebration of Life service in the Bright Funeral Home Chapel at 6PM. This service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
