A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York with Chaplain Ray Christman officiating. A funeral cortege will meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.
Born on August 6, 1942 in York, he was a son of the late Edison A. and Lena Mae (Erwin) Ware. James worked maintenance, specifically on kilns, at Pfaltzgraff for 42 years where he was awarded perfect attendance for many years.
James was a staunch Republican who enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to Potter County where he was a member of the Mohawk Gun Club.
Along with his wife, Nancy, James is survived by his son, Jason D. Ware of Dover; Michelle A. Mock and her husband, Brian O. of Lewisberry; two grandchildren, Kevin J. Mock and Justin B. Mock; brother, Keith E. Ware of East Berlin; and sister, Diane S. King and her husband, Barry of Dover. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edison A. "Eddie" Ware and Malcolm R. "Mack" Ware.
