Dan passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2007. He was born in Minden, La to Gene and Jamie Rogers. He grew up in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1971. He attended Northeast University and afterwards, served in the US Navy and the Navy Reserves. In 1992, Dan married Janet Bierden Priest of Coushatta, La. For many years, Dan worked in the oil fields of many different countries and has been employed as a Regional Manager for Expro Americas, formerly known as Power Chokes, for the past 3 years. During his working career, Dan developed many lifelong friendships with his colleagues. His favorite past times were playing golf and also deer hunting with his friends at the "Rocking S" Deer Camp. He was always looking for the "Big One"!
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Eugene Rogers and his mother, Jamie Hutchins Rogers and his father-in-law, J.T. Bierden, Jr. of Coushatta, La.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Bierden Rogers; daughter, Alanna Britt and her husband, Wade; grandsons, Trenton and Caden; sister, Judy Rogers LeBleu and her husband, Wayne; mother-in-law, Elaine Bierden and a host of nieces and nephews.
