Mr. Dixon passed from this life late Monday night, November 15, 2021, at his home near Saulsbury.

Born in Roger Springs, he was the son of the late Lidderdale and Mary Johnson Dixon and lived all his life in Hardeman County. Mr. Dixon worked over 35 years at Harmon Automotive in Bolivar as a set-up man in maintenance. He was united in marriage to the former Shirley Ervin on April 1, 1961 and was baptized at New Bethel Baptist Church on September 15, 1974.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed coon and rabbit hunting (including running his beagles) and watching basketball and westerns. In years past, he would help coach Little League baseball teams in Middleton. Most of all, Troy loved decorating for Christmas. He was known, during the holiday season, for displays of lights from one end of his house property to the other.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Saulsbury; two daughters, Sheila Garner (John) of Tuscumbia, AL and Penny Patterson (Jeff) of Medon; two sons, Tony Dixon of Saulsbury and "Rabbit" Dixon (Lisa) of Roger Springs; two sisters, Bernell Holland of Saulsbury and Mary Alice Spencer (George) of Piperton; seven grandchildren, Victoria Burnett, Jason and Ashley Patterson, Abby, Clay, Phillip and Logan Dixon; and seven great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Skylar, Levi, Jadon and Aubrielle Patterson, Presley Dixon and Carson York.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Russell; and a brother, Junior Dixon.
