Kenny Hayes, age 80, of Weches passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at his home. Kenny was born June 13, 1941 in Houston to parents, Frank Hayes and Countess Irene Bobbitt Hayes. He was a graduate of Alto High School then served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Kenny was a retired master electrician, a longtime member of the Weches Volunteer Fire Department and also did volunteer work for the American Red Cross.

Kenny is survived by wife, Peggy Hayes of Weches; grandson, Marcus Guzman of Palestine; granddaughter, Felicia Guzman & great-granddaughter and great-grandson; step-daughter, Ann Forbes and husband, Rick of Millbrook, Ontario, Canada; step-sons, David Mooney of Beaverton, Ontario, Canada, John Mooney of Ontario, Canada; sister-in-law, Millie Hayes Cloer of Crockett; nieces, Theresa, Tammy, Ashley, Whitney; cousins, Beth Kleinschmidt, Roy Lee Bobbitt and wife, Linda, Robbie Rodgers, Essie Kellum and husband, Kennon, Severn Rodgers; friend, Ruth Bobbitt; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter, Sonia Guzman; brother, Frank Hayes; cousin, Joe Ed Bobbitt.

Graveside funeral services for Kenny Hayes will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 in the Weches Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
