Stephen Max Jones, of Oscoda, formerly a 30 year resident of Clio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, age 73 years. Stephen was born to Richard and Betty (Roberts) Jones in Flint on March 6, 1948. He graduated from Kearsley High School and went on to begin his carpenter apprenticeship. Stephen worked 33 years for Buick in the Skilled Trades Division, retiring in 1998. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, and hunting. Stephen spent a lot of time in his shop doing wood working projects. He loved telling stories, and had the charm to make friends wherever he went! Stephen was a member of the UAW, NRA, and Country Club Manor Men's Club. He will be dearly missed and cherished by all who knew and loved him! Stephen is survived by his beloved wife and best friend to whom he married in 1967, Sandy Jones; children, Melissa (Frank) Rogiers of Clio, and Alisca (Gary) Williams of Garden City; grandchildren, Curtis (Heather) Ennis, Frank (Kyla) Rogiers, Jr., Reece Rogiers, Bailey Williams, Douglas Williams, Logan (Brooke) Williams; great grandchildren, Remington and Paislee Ennis, Jaxson Williams, and Aiden Rogiers; 1 brother, David (Shirley) Jones of Goodrich; 1 sister, Alice Amy of Wyoming; Conehead sister in law, Gloria Ex and the rest of the Coneheads; nieces and nephews, Deanna (Tom) Nagengast, Dane (Jeanese) Ex, Jason (Sue) Keown, Daniel Jones, Stephanie Jones (Justin Gailitis), Jessica (Chris) Keown-Belous, and many more extended family and special friends including his Sid Town Crew and Country Club Manor Friends. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jones, Norm (Dorothy) Jones and sister, Sally Jones. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will celebrate his life through a memorial service to be planned and announced.
