Cassie F. Anderson, 52, of Parsons died at 7:23 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at her home.
She was born Dec. 20, 1954, at Bloomfield, Mo., to Ralph and Marion (Perry) Whittley. The family moved to Parsons, where she grew up and attended schools.
She married Jim Anderson on March 21, 1973, at Calvary Baptist Church in Parsons. He survives of the home.
She worked at Grandview Products for several years and later for Parsons Precision Products, which is now Ducommun AeroStructures, for 15 years. She retired in 2004.
She enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with her grandchildren, her dog, Little Guy, and water balloon fights with her family.
Other survivors include a son, Freed Anderson and his fiance, Candy, of Port Huron, Mich.; a daughter, Tonya Davis and her husband, Mike, of Parsons; two grandchildren, Chance and Loreli Davis of Parsons; five brothers, Ralph Whittley Jr. and his wife, Arra, John Whittley and his wife, Robin, all of Altamont, George Whittley and his wife, Eugenia, Willie Whittley and his wife, Lori, all of Oswego, and Randy Whittley and his wife, Karen, of Parsons; four sisters, Carolyn Housley and her husband, Roy, Peggy Kepley and her husband, Danny, Patricia McGinnis and her husband, Jesse, all of Parsons, and Kay Essig and her husband, Riley, of Independence; three brothers-in-law, Wayne Anderson of Craig, Colo., Art Anderson and his wife, Marla, of Granby, Mo., and Jerry Anderson and his wife, Brenda, of Dennis; three sisters-in-law, Wanda Noe and her husband, Richard, of Parsons, Linda Greer and her husband, Tim, of Kansas City, Mo., and Sandra McReynolds and her husband, Jim, of Augusta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marty Whittley; an infant sister; and two nephews, William T. Duvall and Robert Bowdre.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dennis. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or to Locks of Love. These may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 112 N. 26th, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, 67357.
