A funeral service celebrating the life of Jackie Lynn Ray, age 60, of Summerville, South Carolina, formerly of Fallsburg, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Clifford Mason as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
Jackie was born January 18, 1961 in Valley County, Montana. She passed away on October 16, 2021 at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston, South Carolina.
Jackie retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation where she was a Drafting Technician and worked in computer aided design for the Department of Engineering. Jackie loved art, painting, and was very fond of animals, especially Chihuahuas. An excellent cook, she was especially known for her sausage gravy and seafood gumbo, which she just recently perfected. A talented seamstress, Jackie made many beautiful quilts and clothes. Jackie's family was her entire world and she dedicated her life to taking care of them.
She is survived by two children, Amanda Morris (fiancé, Robert Fraley) of Newark and Jason (Jessica) Santavicca of Sugar Creek; her father, Virgil Arthur O'Bryant of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Kristian Stocksdale, Caleb Stocksdale, Ava Morris, Randy Morris, Kiersten Santavicca and Brantley Santavicca; a sister, Vickie O'Bryant of Summerville, SC; and her fiancé, Bruce Lantagne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Steven Ray, on November 22, 2014; her mother, Gladys (Coffee) O'Bryant; and a grandson, Waylon Morris.
