Anna loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bryant. He loved angels and birds. Anna raised parakeets and once had over 400 in her care. She and her husband also took care of chickens. Anna enjoyed searching for treasures at yard sales and often took her grandchildren with her. In her spare time, Anna made arts and crafts and put puzzles together. Family was very important to Anna, and she cherished spending time with them. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She was so proud of them. Anna's home was always filled with a lot of children which made her very happy. Anna often the Bryant Senior Center for BINGO, dances, card games, and other special events. She could often be found playing Skip-Bo, Yahtzee, Crazy 8's, or other card games with her family and friends.
Anna was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Young; great-grandchildren: Cassidy, Xavier, and Randall, Jr.; parents, Edward and Anna Dowell; brother, James Dowell, and sister, Carol Evett.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of forty-five years, Jim Young of Benton, Arkansas; seven children: Edward Morrison of Oregon, Dianna Baldwin and husband Scott of New Hampshire, Jay Dale Morrison and wife Lynn of Paragould, Arkansas, Kevin Morrison and wife Tammy of Benton, Arkansas, Lauralee Toland and husband Steve of Benton, Arkansas, and Peggy Wayman and husband David of Benton, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Sue Scholze of Michigan; twenty-one grandchildren: Eddie, Tim, John, Amber, Bradley, Bryan, Michael, Randy, Kevin Jr., Jennifer, Jason, Josh, Dustin, Tara, Rodney, Terry-Jay, Rocky, Catherine, Abigal, McKayla, and Olivia; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, John Evett of Michigan; and many more family members and friends who love Anna and will miss her always.
Visitation held from 5:00-7:00 Friday, November 19, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street in Benton. Funeral service held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 20, at the funeral home with burial following at Rosemont Cemetery.
