She was a woman of incredible faith and determination, especially after the untimely death of her husband, James R. Day, at which time she worked as an office manager to provide for her two young daughters. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Ray Day; and daughter, Donna Hamilton.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Swiryd (Mike); son-in-law, John Hamilton; grandsons, Adam Hamilton and Nick Hamilton (Sarah); and great grandson, Avett Hamilton.
Visitation will be held 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Owensboro, Kentucky.
