Brenda was born to Robert and Betty (Stauss) Deziel on December 21, 1950, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in East Grand Forks, graduating from high school in 1968. On August 30, 1973, Brenda married Larry Hanson in East Grand Forks. In the early 80s, she opened Brenda's Babes Daycare in East Grand Forks and continued to operate the daycare until her death.
She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends. Brenda loved spending time with her grandchildren. She sang in Sweet Adeline's, and in her church choir. Brenda was an avid gardener and loved to can.
Brenda is loved and will be deeply missed by her husband, Larry Hanson; son Michael (Melanie) Hanson and daughter Shelly (James) Thomforde; grandchildren, Anna, Matthew, and Jacob Hanson; Nathan (Heaven) Thomforde, and Isaac Thomforde; and sister, Vicky Deziel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Gloria Jean Deziel. Funeral services Friday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Visitation Norman Funeral Home will be Thursday, November 18th beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Burial Memorial Park North Cemetery, also in Grand Forks.
