Joni Marie Peele White, daughter of Luther T. and Jane Morgan Peele, was born March 24, 1949, in Portsmouth, Virginia. She departed this life Monday, November 8, 2021, in Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, seven months, and fifteen days. On September 13, 1991, she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" A. White, and they shared the last thirty years of happiness and memories. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a half-brother, Robert Peele. Joni is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; a daughter, Heather Hahn, and her husband, Michael, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, James Hiller and Ki White, both of Falcon, Missouri; a granddaughter, Jessica Loveland; two great-grandsons, Caden and Eli; a sister Patricia Woolfrey, of Apollo Beach, Florida; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Joni was raised in Maryland and graduated from Springbrook High School. She made her home in Rockville and Burtonsville, Maryland during her younger years. She then lived in Colorado for a time where she was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her family. In 1992, the family moved to Missouri and they made their home in Mountain Grove area for several years before moving to Falcon, Missouri. In addition to being a homemaker, Joni also owned and operated a kennel for a time. She loved horses, especially American Paint horses, dogs, and goats. She possessed a sweet and kind disposition, yet was fiercely protective of those she loved. She was a typical All-American Grandma who loved her fairly dearly. Joni was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
