Yolanda Lynn Bradford, 51, Shelbyville, died unexpectedly Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel Wiley Bradford. She grew up in Radcliff, KY. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Accounting and continued her education at Kentucky State University, where she earned her Masters in Human Resource Management. She was the owner of YLB Accounting, Inc. in Shelbyville. She was also the co-founder and Executive Director of HJW Career & Financial Literacy Institute. Additionally, she owned a catering business, serving the needs of the Shelby County community. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She was also a strong advocate for small business owners, homeownership opportunities, single mothers and the community at large. She was a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she had previously served as bookkeeper and worked with missions and children.

Yolanda has had a strong influence in the Shelby County community, and she will be greatly missed by those she mentored and helped along the way.

Survivors include two sisters, Hazel Delores Simpson of Kansas City, MO and Joyce Lavelle Harris (Willie W.) of Vine Grove; her godson, Darius Evans of Shelbyville; two goddaughters, Nevaeh Gilliam of Louisville and Kehlani Moore of Shelbyville; seven nieces and nephews, Brent Anthony Simpson, Christopher Scott Simpson, Randall Ford Simpson, Tre Jamal Harris, Andre Rashan Harris, Anna Burks and LaDonzie Burks; six great-nieces and nephews, Alejandra Simpson, Tylen Simpson, Antonio Simpson, Grayson Simpson, Niyla Wilson and Tyson Harris; a special sister, Yalunda Mason of Richmond and team members, co-workers and friends too numerous to name.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Shelby Christian Church with visitation after 10 a.m. Rev. Kilen Gray will deliver the eulogy. A private burial will be later at North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.
