Jim served as a U.S. Army Specialist in the transportation division. From the Army he dedicated his career to over 40 years in the transportation industry. His love of anything to do with vehicles, including tractors, continued for the rest of his life. As an enthusiast, he accumulated and rebuilt several street rods, trucks, and cars. Without seeing the vehicle, Jim could tell you exactly the make and model simply by hearing it go down the street.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Joseph and Maryann. Jim is survived by his loving wife Paula (Wikler) Dawson, his children Jennifer French and her husband Neil, James Dawson, Jr. and his wife Abby, and Jillian Cunniffe and her husband Sean. Jim wholeheartedly adored his six grandchildren Julia and Addison French, Caden and Trace Dawson, and Teagan and Brennan Cunniffe.
Additionally, he is survived by his four brothers Michael, Thomas, Paul, and Mark Dawson and two sisters Margaret Petrick and Joan Dawson; along with many nieces and nephews.
His family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until his funeral service 11:30 a.m. in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd, Richboro, PA 18954.
