Paul Simon Hamby, age 78, of Erwin, Passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at his home.
A native of Baltimore, MD, Paul is a son of the late Simon Paul and Sally (Pickering) Hamby.
Paul was a security guard at Johnson City Medical Center and previously served as a Nurses Aid and Army Medic. He enjoyed Karate, Martial Arts, Sci-fi movies, comic books, collecting t-shirts, camping, being outdoors and coffee. In addition to her parents, Paul is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Connie Denise (Hensley) Hamby and his grandparents who raised him, Lucy and Ernest Pickering, of Johnson City.
Paul Simon Hamby leaves behind to cherish his memory: Children: Bryan Wesley Hamby and Aaron Brent Hamby; half-brother: Kenneth Pickering; grandchildren: Leigha Grace Hamby, Korbyn Hamby, Aaroleigh Hamby, Kaidan Hamby and Devon Hamby; Mother-in-law: Nancy Hensley; Sisters-in-law: Ruth Haun and husband, Brandon, of Erwin and Rita Jobe and husband, Mike, of Kingsport; Brother-in-law: Michael Hensley and wife, Tammy; Nieces and nephews: April Ousley, Beth Cottrell, Adam Hensley, Sarah Bagwell and Haley Ringwald; Special friends: Jim Holder and Johnny Day.
