Professional Wrestler. Estrella Blanca was a Mexican professional masked wrestler. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1954, achieving eight championships in the light and middle weights. His accomplishments include having defended the AWWA World Lightweight Championship 50 times. He had a lot of personal challenges during the ' Luchas de Apuestas' (Bet Matches), where the competitors bet their mask or hair, and obtaining 200 masks and 101 hair from his rivals, although he claimed that he won 700, more than any other Luchador. He was a contemporary of El Santo, from whom he learned the importance of always wearing the mask in public. On August 20, 1968, Estrella Blanca defeated Raúl Guerrero to win the Mexican National Lightweight Championship. The following year, Estrella Blanca defended the title a couple of times against former champion Raúl Guerrero. On February 19, 1972, his championship was defeated by a luchador named Tauro. He retired professionally in the early 1990s and then made just a few special appearances with his son, Estrella Blanca, Jr.
