John earned his Master's Degree in Education from Indiana University. He was known for his faith in God and he truly loved his family. He was a fan of all sports, including the Chicago White Sox, Indiana University, and Jimtown football.
John is survived by his wife, Cherryl Mann; his daughter, Trudy Joy (Frank) Vandy; his son, Christian Adair (Emily) Mann; three grandchildren, Romey Dull, Frank Vandy, and Lucy Vandy; his sister, Nancy Whiteman; and his brother, Donald (Betty) Mann. John is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Vivian Mae Mann.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 19 at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior at Nappanee Missionary Church, 70417 State Route 19 N., Nappanee, IN 46550. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.
