Shirley Ann Robinson, 78, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Brendan House in Kalispell. Shirley was born March 6, 1939 in Carson City, Nevada. As a young woman she broke horses for a living; riding, and showing many of her accomplishments in parades. Her costumes and stunning looks were difficult to ignore by onlookers. When she wasn't showing or breaking horses, Shirley worked for local debutants as a cook and housekeeper. Shirley married William Irwin Robinson (Bill) on December 15, 1956. Sadly, Bill passed away in 1993 from cancer after 36 years of marriage.

Bill and Shirley were blessed with five children; Cheryl, Mary, Deborah, William Jr., and Richard. Bill was a jet technician in the Air Force/Nevada Air National Guard before the family relocated to Montana where he managed grain elevators. When the children were old enough Shirley delved into the workforce. She started out as a bookkeeper and eventually became a nurse's aide/ CNA for 22 years at the Liberty County Nursing Home in Chester.

Shirley was proud to be one of the first students to graduate from Great Falls Vo-Tech in the CNA certification program.

Shirley was an avid outdoors fan; she enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and gardening. In addition, she often participated in games of pinnacle, chess, cribbage, and Scrabble with anyone brave enough to challenge her. She had impeccable cooking skills and was known for creating amazing meals from scratch. Shirley was a caring and loving person who will be missed dearly. She was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness, maintaining her faith to the end.
