Mrs. Carolyn Leonard was born November 12, 1953 by Cal C. Willingham and Roberta Smith in Pulaski, Tennessee. She was the third oldest out of seven children. She received her education at Giles County High School. She married Tommie Leonard in 1994.

She is predeceased by her late parents Cal C. Willingham and Roberta Smith; sister Lind (Jimmie) Whitworth, and brother William Edward Smith.

She is survived by Husband Tommie Leonard; Daughters Erica (Don) Hillius and Gabrielle (Anthony) Franklin; Grandchildren Deryan Ballentine, D'Andre Dye, Chardanaie Dye, and Aden Dye; Sisters Anna (Melvin) Henderson, Stella Beets, Joyce (Danny) Ballentine, Wandann Smith; Niece Keisha (Nate) Gordon; Sister-in-law Elizabeth (Rome) Benson, Alma Jeans (Henry) Leonard, Dorcey (Dean) Leonard; Daughter-in-law, Shontae Freeman; and her best friend Louise Mason: and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and countless friends.
