Obituary For Ms. Annie Pearl Carter

Annie Pearl Carter was born on August 19, 1944, to the late James Edwards and the late Ann O. Booker in Northampton County, North Carolina. She was the second born of four children and departed this life on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, High Point Medical Center.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Elvin Kelly Carter on March 2, 1962, in New Essex County, NJ. Their union was blessed with three children: La Vera, Calvin, and the late Anthony Carter. Annie was employed with Moses Cone Hospital for many years as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She later was employed by Guilford County Schools as a Teacher's Assistant, from which she retired. During her leisure, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And her hobbies included sewing, crafts, cooking. She also enjoyed watching game shows. Annie became a member of Love & Faith Christian Fellowship and loved attending church services and fellowship.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Dr. La Vera C. Brown of Burlington, NC, son, Mr. Calvin D. Carter (Ashley) of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren, Temeka Renee Brown of Gibsonville, NC, Lisa Chantay Green of High Point, NC, Calvin D. Carter, II of Baltimore, MD; four great-grandchildren, Jamal Green, Gabriel Miller, Jaylen and Jaden Rogers of High Point, NC; and a host of other family, church family and special friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Guil-Rand Memorial Park.
