After graduating from South High School, her soon to be sister-in-law, Darlene Pierce, showed her an army photo of her brother, Gordon. Barb couldn't wait to meet him when he returned from Korea. They married on September 21, 1956 and the next summer, they had their only child, a daughter, Cheryl. Both Barb and Gordon worked for GM for over 30 years and retired to Florida in the 1980s. They returned home to Michigan for the summers to spend time with their family.
After Gordon went home with the Lord, Barbara met another quiet, gentle Christian man, Orestes Post Jr. when she returned to Florida to sell her home. They married on September 23, 2018. She spent over 60 years with Gordon and then had three years with Orestes (Junior).
Barbara was a truly blessed, kind, compassionate, very generous woman who will be missed by her family and friends but we all rejoice in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we will be reunited with her one day.
