Bill Owens, age 87, died Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 15, 1934 in Scottsboro, Alabama and raised in Dayton, TN. Bill was the son of the late Albert H. and Ella Mae Gaddis Owens. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp and served his country during the Korean Conflict. Bill was a truck driver for 35 years, then drove for S.E.T.H.R.A. for 10 years until he retired. He loved the lake; especially fishing and he enjoyed the Tennessee Vols. Bill attended Faith Baptist Church in Dayton and was a member of the American Legion Post #100.

Bill was preceded in death by his first wife Anne L. Owens, his sister Dollie Ray Baber, his brother Leonard Owens and his granddaughter Brooke Barker.

Survivors include his wife, his four children, five stepchildren, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Faulkner officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
