Arnold Dean Harris was born November 9, 1941 in Chappell, Nebraska to Donald and Inez (Kling) Harris. He passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at his home in Alliance.

Dean graduated from Alliance High School in 1960. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy January 25, 1962 and served as a sonarman. He was honorably discharged May 24, 1966.

He married Carolyn Behm on March 11, 1974. Dean enjoyed keeping a very well-manicured lawn and a bountiful garden that he shared with his family and friends. He especially loved taking his granddaughters on fishing excursions.

Dean is survived by his wife, Carolyn, his daughter and her husband, Chelsea and J.J. Simmons of Alliance and his granddaughters, Macey and Myleigh Simmons. He is also survived by his in-laws, Cheryl Harris, Dennis Behm, Dick and Pat Behm and Kenny and Marilyn Behm along with numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents, and his brothers, Jack, Max, Boyd and Todd Harris preceded him in death.
