He is survived by his children, Danny Lee Butler and wife Sally of Shinnston, Paula Ann Barron of Bridgeport, Barry Alan Butler and wife Brenda of Shinnston, and Tina Lynn Edwards and boyfriend Richard Smith of Shinnston; Grandchildren, Aaron Koon and Fiancé Jade Ash, Paige Hardman and husband Ryan, Jenna Edwards, Sean Butler and wife Tara, Lauren Moorehead and husband Jimi, Jessica Seaver and husband Jon, Nick Barron and wife Marissa, Brandi Marsh and husband Nick, Brooke Terneus and husband Scott, and Brandon Butler; great-grandchildren, Macey, Camden, and Avarie Koon, Bryn, Emmett, and Jack Seaver, Maddison, Emilee, Kaycee, Madison, Rowan, and Liam Butler, Cohen, Chandley, and Chase Terneus, Chloe, Hayes, and Grace Barron, Gage, Silas, and Meadow Hardman.
Paul served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He retired as a mine foreman from Consolidation Coal Company, where he served on mine rescue teams at several different coal companies. He was a member of American Legion Post 31, Shinnston.
Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston from 9 AM to 12:30 PM Thursday, November 18, 2021 with funeral services at 12:30 with Pastor Sherman Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery, Pruntytown.
